Job Purpose
Support in the planning and execution of risk-based audit engagements and audit testing and the implementation of the data analytics strategy for the Corporate Audit Services Department including participation in audit projects with data analytics expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain Corporate Audit Services data analytics platform availability, including data extraction, desktop analytics and visualisation/presentation.
- Execute work in accordance with professional audit standards and quality assurance practices, efficiently and effectively.
- Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
- Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Participate and support training to wider audit team members on data analytics techniques and their application to the internal audit process to build a community of data analytics champions within the team.
- Use data analysis tools to automate audit testing and develop techniques for continuous auditing (dashboards, tolerance settings, alert triggers).
Experience preferred
- Financial systems and processes, and ideally the risk and control activities within a consumer good business
- Process automation
- Experience with analytics and data visualisation tools like Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau, ACL, IDEA, etc. is considered a strong asset.
