Technical Subject Matter Expert - Filling & Packaging Technologies, Pan EU

What you become part of:  
Filling and Packaging technology team is responsible for the development and implementation of the Filling and Packaging equipment specifications and standards for equipment installations across the CCEP network. 
The F&P team have four key accountabilities:
•    Equipment development and design standards  
•    Support Capital project execution teams with design and technical expertise to ensure that all CCEP new Filling and Packaging projects applies CCEP standards and help to optimize operations and total cost 
•    Support production sites as a Subject Matter Expert to resolve technical issues with Filling and Packaging equipment.
•    Manage projects where there are new concept / prototype filling or packaging equipment being implemented

This role will:
•    Technical expertise support Western Europe CCEP sites and ensure them apply the CCEP standards and central technical guidelines. 
•    Own 2 or 3 technology expertise within the F&P Technology team
•    Manage project when a new concept/prototype equipment is being implemented.
•    Work with the capital project execution teams ensure them apply the CCEP standards and central technical guidelines, plus helping to define the proper scope within Filling and Packaging single equipment, partially or complete lines. 

What to expect:  
Equipment development and design standards: Key equipment focus areas for this role will be from depalletizer/blower to palletizer, including APET processing and Blender/Carbonation technology allocated close to the filler.

1.    Create, train and maintain specifications & standards for CCEP Filling and Packaging equipment according to the technology lead assigned.
2.    Involve the Project Management experience and site operations to ensure the CCEP Filling and Packaging equipment specs includes the best practices and learnings.
3.    Work with Asset Care and Operations teams to develop standard technical documentation packages (eg. PFDs, Functional Descriptions, Operating Manuals, Maintenance Manuals, OPLs, Commissioning/Qualification/Validation criteria etc) for Filling and Packaging equipment.
4.    Connect and influence supplier base to fulfill CCEP's current and future investment needs.
5.    Define appropriate technologies for safe, hygienic, economic, simple and efficient operation of Filling and Packaging equipment. Specific focus within this role also on water and energy reduction initiatives and technologies mainly on still beverage technologies and refillable containers.
6.    Identify opportunities and develop specific technical solutions for Filling and Packaging capacity & optimization projects.
7.    Look externally and benchmark across other industries to identify possible new technologies that could be a good fit for our business. 

Support Capital Project Execution Teams:  
1.    Work with the capital project teams in the planning and design phase to ensure that all new installations are designed according to the CCEP standards.
2.    Support the capital project teams and site engineering teams with technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle where required.
3.    When new technologies / designs are being implemented for the first time, take a lead role in managing the execution of said new technology to ensure its successful commissioning and qualification.

Support Production sites as Subject Matter Expert : 
1.    Follow a clear escalation process within CCEP and with all key vendors to resolve process equipment failures and supplier after-market support when unusual and challenging technical problem is identified.   
2.    Support sites as subject matter expert to help drive equipment performance.  

Skills & Essentials:  
•    Site engineering management with demonstrated problem solving cases and learnings,  with specific technical skills in:
     o    Robot palletising
     o    Packer - Cardboard and/or shrinkfilms
     o    Fillers/Fill blocks: Aseptic and PET, Glass, Cans.
     o    Converyors: empties, single and packs
•    Experience on developing and challenging V-Graph on a line to achieve and drive performance, by focusing on the bottle neck performance.
•    Experience on supervising installation and performing commissioning of Filling & Packaging lines, working closely with OEM's to achieve vertical ramp up's.
•    Experience, challenging equipment design and performing FAT's at OEM factories to improve equipment design to meet Operational and Maintenance requirements.

Experience preferred
Site engineering management and/or engineering project management. Projects between 0.5m€-10m€ within the scope of Filling and Packaging equipment. 

Qualifications required
Engineering, Industrial process and electric-mechanical technology.
Language: Fluent in written and verbal communication English. Second language preferred: German or Spanish 

Qualifications preferred 
Degree level in engineering with demonstrated experience on Filling and Packaging equipment: Operating, Maintaining and improving performance.
Experience on developing or supporting supplier to develop upgrades or new ideas on packaging machine technology

Functional technical skills required 
Knowledge of Kore technical requirements.
Knowledge of hygienic designs on installation and filling rooms to ensure good micro performance. 
Experience creating process flows with Visio.
Lineview platform, or similar,  managing data analysis with Excel and/or PowerBI.
Experience drawing and challenging P&ID and Filling lines lay-out including raw material and waste flow according hygienic designs and operational performance.

Location
Head office based but consider the role is field based on the basis of travelling to and working from the location of active projects or technical support according to demand and business. 

Travel required
 ~ 65 % time including Western Europe CCEP sites and vendors.
