The role:

The purpose of this role is to, oversee, monitors, and coordinates production team activities, giving importance to individual member's and overall team's achievement of established goals. Ensures team's goals are aligned with and representative of the overall company's directive and works closely with the Maintenance Team leaders.

Our desired candidate:

A well-presented, highly personable, and efficient candidate who can work independently in a challenging environment. The ideal candidate must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor of Food Technology or Chemistry or Engineering graduate (Mechanical or Electrical) or recognised Qualification.
  • Experience 5-10 years’ experience of which 3 years in a senior position
  • Able to operate, troubleshoot and perform small repairs on machines.
  • Exhibit great strength and stamina to withstand long hours of working and lifting heavy equipment.  
  • Proven supervisory experience and management potential.
  • Showcase good leadership and motivation skills to lead different people with different abilities and character traits to achieve target.
  • He/she would be expected to know how to communicate efficiently both in oral and written language.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Able to set Maintenance strategy, be a change adapter and creative.  
  • Computer literate (MS word, Excel, Power point, M/S project, other related software)
  • Must be a swift learner and an excellent coach to train their teammates and so would be expected to have excellent problem solving skills to effectively handle the challenges and problems in the production department.
  • He/she would also be expected to understand the importance of time management and be proactive at all times.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of CCA PNG’s core business and business process.
