What you become a part of
You would become the leader of team of 50 people in both warehousing and logistics, reporting into the Director of GB Logistics. This is a day based role, core days Monday to Friday, however a flexible approach to working to accommodate a 24/7 operation is required. The duties are varied across the warehouse function supported by a 25,000 pallet crane based Automated Storage Retrieval System. The role is a people manager role requiring advance skills in Operational Excellence, project and continuous development initiatives and proven leadership skills along with coaching and mentoring and an ability to challenge the status quo.
What to expect
• Take ownership of a large-scale Warehousing & Distribution operation, driving results across safety, service, people, cost, and sustainability.
• Lead through Operational Excellence, delivering continuous improvement and operational success.
• Inspire and develop high-performing teams within a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.
• Build and manage a £10m P&L with responsibility for both financial and operational performance.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver best-in-class warehousing and distribution performance.
What we expect of you
• Proven leadership experience in Warehousing, Distribution, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a similar operational environment.
• Demonstrable success delivering Operational Excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management, and decision-making capability.
• FMCG experience is desirable.
• A passion for developing people and driving high performance.
