The Opportunity
As a Logistics Systems Lead, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation and continuous improvement of our distribution centre systems across Northmead, Eastern Creek, and Arndell Park. You’ll lead system changes, support day-to-day operations, and deliver key IT and automation projects that keep our logistics network running efficiently.
This is a highly specialised, autonomous role where you’ll collaborate with multiple business units including Logistics, BPT and Production, while partnering with external vendors. You’ll be the go-to expert on site for system performance, troubleshooting, and optimisation.
This position is offered on a permanent, full-time basis and is predominately based in Northmead, requiring travel to Eastern Creek 1-2 times a week.
This role operates within a 24/5 site, with typical hours of 5:00am–1:00pm, some flexibility based on operational needs, and planned weekend work (on average once per month).
Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver system changes, upgrades, and IT projects across NSW distribution sites
Provide day-to-day systems support across warehouse technologies including SAP, EWM, SynQ and other platforms
Conduct testing, validation, and implementation of system enhancements (including UAT and post-production validation)
Analyse warehouse processes, identify improvement opportunities, and drive efficiencies across automated and manual operations
Support and maintain warehouse IT infrastructure, including RF devices, voice picking systems, printers, and network components
Liaise with state and national project teams to obtain, cleanse, and analyse data from a variety of data sources and platforms
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide insights through data analysis and reporting
Ensure minimal disruption to operations and customer service during system changes
About You
You are a highly capable and independent systems specialist who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment. You bring strong technical expertise, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work autonomously while influencing across multiple teams.
In addition, you will be:
Experienced in automated distribution centre environments (essential)
Skilled in warehouse systems such as SAP/EWM
A strong communicator, confident in working with diverse stakeholders across operations and IT
A proactive problem-solver with strong system troubleshooting capabilities
Resilient and adaptable, with a continuous improvement mindset
Experienced in system support, testing, or IT project delivery within FMCG/logistics (highly regarded)
