If you were selected for the role, you will be a key figure within the strong in-house CCEP legal team and business partner to the Bulgaria Business. Through commercially focused partnership, you will create maximum value, as well as working with colleagues on strategic projects. You will provide business-focused, pragmatic advice, counsel, and training on a variety of legal issues, you will enable strategic business initiatives, while ensuring that business and legal risks are managed appropriately.

Business:  Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) Bulgaria

Location: Sofia head office based (hybrid), occasionally travel domestically (including to/from CCEP office in Varna)

Reporting into: Legal Lead Bulgaria

Your key focus:

You’ll be offered a broad legal role requiring excellent qualities to deliver your key objectives which include providing the business with strong practical business and legal counsel and being a key contributor to delivering the company’s key strategic activities. Key responsibilities include (but not limited to) involvement in some or all of the following activities:

  • Advising on a broad range of legal issues arising from day-to-dayoperational matters, activity and business needs in Bulgaria, for both Sofia and Varna offices, covering a variety of legal disciplines. These will include contracts and commercial law and practices; employment law; regulatory & compliance and development of local rules, processes and policies, including in key areas such as Data Protection, AML, Whistleblowing, Anti-Bribery, etc.; corporate governance; technology; insurance.
  • Advising on longer term strategic projects and serving as Legal representative on ad-hoc project teams.
  • Delivering trainings on various legal topics to stakeholders.
  • Providing support on additional matters as required.
  • Providing solution-focused, commercial and creative legal advice to all parts of the organisation in view of reaching the business strategic objectives.
  • Working with legal colleagues based in the other CCEP countries to align legal strategies, advices and tools.
  • Partnering with local business leads.

What we’re looking for:

You are a Bulgarian Law graduate and qualified to practice in Bulgaria, with considerable and relevant qualified experience of no less than five years in Bulgarian legal matters that has included consultation with strategic business clients. We’re looking for a good broad mix of driving strategic decisions in various legal areas including contracts and commercial law and practices, employment law, regulatory & legal compliance, including in areas such as Data Protection, AML, Whistleblowing, Anti-Bribery, etc., corporate governance, and proven broad legal expertise.

We are open on your industry background, but in-house experience of large in multi-national companies and/or at reputable law firms would be particularly interesting.

We’re looking for someone who is fluent in written and spoken Bulgarian and English and is with very strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, as well as excellent influencing and negotiation skills to bring all stakeholders to common views and strategies. You will be intellectually curious, confident, and capable of engaging effectively with various levels of the organisation and dealing with complex matters; who is a pragmatic problem solver; who is pro-active and self-directed and who communicates clearly and effectively.

  • Strong and proven ability to exercise creative thinking and to define new and commercially pragmatic approaches to problems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication in both Bulgarian and English language, leadership and people skills, particularly in relation to senior management of a global company.
  • Ability to focus on both big picture and details, to meet tight deadlines and to collaborate with colleagues.
  • Self-awareness, a steady demeanour in challenging situations and comfort operating in a fast moving, often changing and unclear legal environment.
  • Ability to act independently and without direction.
