ABOUT YOUR TEAM
The Statewide Recycling Processing team is responsible for receiving, validating, blocking, warehousing, loading and dispatching used beverage containers. There is a strong focus on safety in our operation. The operations team is required to manage all day-to-day operational functions.
ABOUT YOUR ROLE
The primary responsibilities of the Statewide Recycling Operations Supervisor are to ensure the Production and Warehouse facility operates safely and efficiently with high levels of people engagement and culture, accuracy and with strong housekeeping standards. Safety and wellbeing should be at the forefront of everything that we do.
Your working day will start at 7 am through to 3:30 pm Monday to Thursday and 7am to 3pm on Friday's, with all legislative breaks included and any additional paid breaks Statewide provide. At times, it is acknowledged that additional hours may be required and or earlier start time may be required to facilitate and maintain the plant’s operations with prior approval from the manager. Weekend work may be required from time to time with prior notice.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Always promoting our safety culture, recording incidents, accidents, identifying hazards and corrective actions, reviewing, and monitoring WH&S procedures and policies through the CCEP safety systems.
- Managing Contractors and their H&S compliance & minimum requirements (Induction, maintenance, site services, transport, and visitors while onsite).
- Consultation, Training, Competency, and adherence to SWP’s with Sign off/Authorisation of Checklists for permanent and labour hire staff.
- Creating a positive and engaging team culture.
- Clear communication with direct reports and senior managers.
- Staff support and provide direction according to daily priorities.
- Constantly working on Continuous improvement through consultation and innovation.
- Manage team productivity and KPI’s.
- Regular inspections of work practices of staff and contractors.
- Maintain accurate & on-time inward and outward goods and equipment maintenance and labour records.
- Manage internal collection contractors’ standards (paperwork, customer service and quality of work).

Must Haves:
- Demonstrated supervisory skills.
- Knowledge of processing and logistics processes.
- Process driven.
- Ability to drive results through strong relationships with your team.
- A demonstrated track record of partnering and engaging with your team to meet business requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively with your team and different teams within the business.
- Ability to identify business opportunities and improvements.
- Strong safety leadership
- Ability to use business tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Beneficial:
- WH&S cert IV
- Logistic and Warehousing cert
- Min 5 years’ Experience in people management
- Technology savvy
- Experienced in change management.
- Mechanically minded advantageous.
Qualifications:
- Forklift License is Required
- First Aid & CPR (favourable but not essential)
- 5 years’ experience in managing teams in a production environment.
