In an increasingly competitive and challenging market place, at CCEP we see the role of the Category Development as pivotal to delivering our business performance. The team's primary objective is to deliver an inspiring and insightful vision for the Soft Drinks category, today and in the future across key Environments. In order to unlock growth we need our team to be strategic, long term focused, analytical and great influencers to work in partnership with our customers and key internal stakeholders. Reporting in to the Category Manager you will be responsible for the development and implementation of a category strategy to unlock growth potential. CCEP Category Development is ranked #1 and #2 in the Advantage Group Survey across AFH and Home channels.

What to expect:                                                                                                                                                                                      

Your primary responsibilities will include:  

  • Using sales data and world class insights you will be responsible for delivering Range and Space recommendations across a various channels.
  • Working alongside Category Managers and the CCEP account teams you will ensure that best practice Soft Drinks Category principals are executed with customers, to unlock growth potential in the category.
  • Lead the strategic development of our soft drinks category across a key environments, taking ownership of driving our strategic plans
  • Work with Customer Account teams to help develop and land our annual brand plans across the strategic customers
  • Work with the Category and Environment Teams to create range review recommendations for key accounts to ensure best practice range and merchandising principles are implemented in customers
  • Evaluate the performance of range reviews and projects post launch to make recommendations for future growth
  • Developing range, space and merchandising 'Looks of Success' for activation
  • Data analysis and customer performance reporting for regular reporting routines
  • Use numerous data reporting systems, including customer specific systems

Skills & Experience:                                                                                                                                                                                     

To be successful in this role you need to demonstrate excellent analytical and data processing skills; great communication skills, both verbal and written, and be confident in communicating with key stakeholders and customers. Experience gained from working within Category Management, Insights or Customer Management roles is essential.

  • Demonstrate passion, proactive ownership and resilience for growing the category
  • Strong listening and influencing skills at various levels within the organisation and with customers
  • Ability to influence diverse stakeholder groups

  • Drive for innovation, change and agile ways of working
  • In-depth knowledge of Nielsen, CGA, Lumina, GfK and other data providers
  • Previous FMCG Category Management experience is desirable
