Michelle's story
I joined the Rainbow network as have family and members of my team who are from the LGBTQ+ community, I have always been an ally and I wanted to support and learn more about what the network do. Since joining I have met some amazing people, widened my network across different business functions.
I had the opportunity to work on a project as team lead to deliver a lunch and learn which was a first for me and gained experience in project management with lots of support from my colleagues in the network, we have regular catch up calls and share ideas on how to educate & support our colleagues at CCEP.
Overall I have grown in confidence, worked on my presentation skills, worked as part of a team and thoroughly enjoyed being part of the Rainbow network
Pride
At CCEP, we take pride in who we are. Gender and sexual orientation aren’t just accepted—they are respected and celebrated. We foster an open, compassionate environment where conversations about identity, compassion, and awareness are encouraged. That’s why our Pride celebrations continue to grow and evolve each year, reflecting the inclusive culture we’re proud to uphold at CCEP.
What does LGBTQ+ History month mean to you?
It’s a time for education and awareness and celebration of the progress that’s been made… I want everyone to have the same rights. I am always infuriated with how poorly trans people, specifically, are treated, and I would love for that to really improve.

To me, LGBT+ History Month means looking back at the personal journey of my own family. In our family there are three members spanning over three generations, who all identify as being part of the LGBT+ community. It is interesting to hear and see how different their school, ‘coming out’, work life and adult experiences have been. We are lucky to say we have seen progress over this 30 year period. Be yourself, be valued, belong.

It’s a time to celebrate, reflect, and educate ourselves and the wider population… I would like to see people accepted for who they are and the community doesn’t experience any hate or prejudice.
