Morpeth Operations is the only PET bottled water site within CCEP GB, capable of producing 54,000 bottles per hour and over 1 million bottles each day. What you’ll do

  • As Health, Safety & Environment Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and embedding a strong health, safety and environmental culture across the Morpeth site. You’ll lead by influence, working closely with site leadership and colleagues at all levels to ensure health, safety and environmental excellence is an integral part of everyday operations.

Health, Safety & Environmental Leadership

  • Develop and deliver a site Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) programme that actively involves all employees through regular conversations, observations, safety briefs/workshops and sharing learnings from incidents and near misses.
  • Act as the expert point of contact for all HSE matters, providing advice and practical recommendations to site management to continuously improve performance.
  • Lead out on HSE related audits and regulatory visits – working with the wider team to develop corrective action plans.

Standards, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Support the definition, implementation and annual review of working instructions and standards to ensure full alignment with CCEP policy and legal requirements.
  • Ensure all statutory and company HSE requirements are met, maintained and effectively communicated across the site.
  • Drive proactive risk management and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce incidents and improve overall site performance.
  • Experience with management systems in Health, Safety and Environment – identifying opportunities, identifying appropriate actions and owners and leading through to completion.

Reporting, Monitoring & Engagement

  • Maintain and communicate all legally required tracking and reporting for health, safety and environmental performance, including accidents, incidents, Lost Time Incident Rate (LTIR), employee health evaluations, environmental resource usage.
  • Analyse trends and data to identify risks and opportunities, sharing insights and recommendations with site leadership and working with stakeholders to drive improvements.
  • Foster a visible and engaging culture where colleagues feel empowered to speak up and take ownership of safety and environment.

What We Expect From You

  • Proven experience in a Health, Safety & Environmental role within an FMCG manufacturing environment, ideally within the beverage industry.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation and best practice.
  • Confidence to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • A proactive, self-lead approach which can adapt to different ways of working and communicating.
