About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our high-performing team in Richlands, where you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving our production equipment. You’ll be working alongside experienced shift fitters and contributing to the smooth operation of our facility.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing preventative and breakdown maintenance, supporting shift fitters as needed
- Interpreting technical drawings and parts with confidence
- Working within scheduled downtime windows—including occasional weekend work
- Applying excellent problem-solving skills both independently and collaboratively
- Developing SOPs and engineering training modules
- Managing work orders, spare parts, and inventory control systems
- Coordinating with contractors and suppliers for specialised maintenance tasks
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance and production

About You
We’re looking for a mechanically minded professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about keeping things running at their best. This role is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic, willing to learn and looking to develop their career.
You’ll bring:
- A mechanical trade qualification (essential)
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter in an FMCG or production setting
- Skills in basic machining (mills, lathe, drill press)
- Strong fault-finding and corrective maintenance capabilities (e.g., machines, gearboxes)
- Familiarity with isolation and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Welding experience (MIG/TIG) – not essential but a bonus!
- Understanding of GMP, SOPs, and HACCP standards
