Amaan - Transport Co-ordinator Apprentice
Once he realised he could gain an enormous amount of work experience, and at the same time study for a degree, Amaan decided to pursue an apprenticeship at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP). Although he knows it’s a big jump from sixth form to the workplace, he urges wannabe apprentices to believe in themselves. CCEP is a place you can feel comfortable making mistakes, and grow with the support of your friends and mentors.
Question: What was the application process like for CCEP’s programme?
"The initial application for CCEP programme was relaxed. There was nothing unexpected throughout the process that made me feel like, ‘This is too difficult.’ There was constant communication between myself and the Talent Acquisition Team, who were more than happy to assist me with any challenges I faced.”
Question: When did you join the programme and how has your experience been?
"I joined the programme in September 2021 and my experience within the business has been so enjoyable. Every working day is different and it’s great to see the effort that all colleagues put in to make our customers happy.”
Question: What is your favourite part of working at CCEP?
"My favourite part of working at CCEP is that people are the forefront of our business model. The business makes sure that all colleagues are happy through employee network groups like JustBe, our Inclusion and Diversity network. CCEP are serious about sustainability and are striving to create a low carbon future. And, best of all, working in transport, I am able to travel around the country to work with different suppliers – which has inspired me to become more independent."
Question: Do you have any advice that you’d like to share with students thinking of applying?
"Never be shy to ask for feedback, as it’s really helpful for personal development and it will only help your growth within the business. Most importantly, don’t give up. There will be days where it’s difficult, but you have to have the strength to work through this and keep your eyes on the rewards at the end."
