About your new role…

We have a great opportunity to join our Finance team in this 9 month fixed term contract role of Finance Business Partner. Reporting directly to the Head of Neverfail Finance, the Finance Business Partner is the custodian of Neverfail’s key monthly financial insights & reporting routines; planning for and bringing together all aspects that drive consistent, accurate and value added and forward view reporting. The FBP will also support the Neverfail business through the delivery of its strategic levers to ensure the delivery against both budget & Long-Range Plans. In doing so, the role will work with and support the wider Finance team through commercial reviews, whilst partnering with the Neverfail LT on transformation initiatives to ensure integrity & accuracy are at the forefront of decision making. The Finance Business Partner will also support the day-to-day analysis and reporting of operational performance.

What will you be doing?

  • Provide trusted financial advice to key internal and external stakeholders to align business direction and financial strategies, with the objective of maximising profit and customer value propositions, mitigating risk and optimising executional performance.
  • Deliver and communicate high-quality accurate financial, management and accounting information support to stakeholders build understanding and enable decision-making.  You also lead all financial operations including month end financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and long range planning.
  • Interpret, explain and drive performance in the business through the provision of value-adding analysis of, and commentary on, monthly financials, trading updates, consensus reporting for key stakeholders with a primary focus on the analysis and explanation of variances against budgets & forecasts.
  • Support the business wide channel profitability tools, to ensure relevant operational builds and methods are adopted in Power BI modelling – and continue to pressure test the model.
  • Work collaboratively with Sales and Supply Chain through the Sales and Operational Planning process, providing risk-adjusted financial analysis and insights.  Through the process you will take ownership for both the Business Performance Management (BPM) and Financial Executive (FinExec) routines, by bringing together all stakeholders for input and consolidation. This includes pressure testing of inputs to ensure variances are understood, risks & opportunities considered, and sensitivities are analysed at appropriate intervals.
  • Manage effective communication across the business to influence behavioural change and decision making through proactively sharing real-time insights and demonstrating best practice examples.
  • Act as a catalyst to drive forward initiatives critical to delivering the business and financial strategies.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience by defining efficient and effective work practices, setting key performance indicators and monitoring adherence to internal service level agreements.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement within your wider remit to continually review and improve processes and tools to enhance the operational excellence of the team to drive value through the business.
  • Influence key operational and strategic decisions through ad hoc analysis and projects.
  • Work effectively with business leaders to uplift financial and commercial acumen, particularly in relation to customer agreements and Profit and Loss levers.
  • Contribute to a high performing, collaborative and empowered team culture.
  • Partnering with the wider Neverfail team to provide financial and commercial support, including providing analysis and insights to support delivery of initiatives, along with support for ad hoc projects.
  • Support the Head of Finance in supporting delivery of finance owned and driven commercial initiatives.
  • Coach and develop within the wider Finance team to broaden their commercial acumen.

Let’s talk about you…

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of commercial management with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience ideally in an FMCG environment.
  • Works in ways that are efficient and effective. Considers people, task and process in all that we do. Uses own time and the time of others wisely. Understands how to get things done at CCEP and organises work and routines effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to think through options, build economically sound business cases and makes decisions based on a strong understanding of the CCEP strategy, current performance, competitive environment, our financial position and our market impact.
  • Communicates effectively and assertively in high-risk situations to resolve complex and/or sensitive issues and build consensus.
  • Proven capability in building and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders understanding the objectives of all parties and identifying the associated risk and opportunities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information simply.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to drive business outcomes and change by partnering with a diverse range of business stakeholders.
  • Effectively manage change management along with potential conflicts to maximise acceptance, cooperation and achieve business objectives.
  • Cross Functional experience supporting Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing, and Business Support function is preferred.
  • Demonstrates an ability to think and go beyond scope of role.
  • Post graduate degree (CA/CFA/CPA) or working towards preferred.
  • Undergraduate University degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • SAP / Microsoft Dynamics (F&O) / Tableau experience; prior system experience desired but not essential.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint with Power BI experience desirable
