About your new role…
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Maintenance team as a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter! Enjoy a great work-life balance with Monday to Friday shifts (6am-2pm), giving you your afternoons back.
As part of our Maintenance team, you'll play a key role in providing top-tier support and customer service across both the Production and Maintenance departments. Your focus will be on enhancing the efficiency of the maintenance team, identifying areas for improvement, and reducing potential delays by improving response times to plant issues and ensuring maintenance work is performed effectively
.
Let’s talk about you! Essential
- Certificate III or IV in engineering mechanical fitting and/or turning
- Beverage or FMCG process knowledge and experience
- A solid understanding of processing and packaging in FMCG including local and industry trends.
- High level process improvement skills (root cause analysis, FMECA, process improvements & corrective actions)
- Restricted electrical licence desirable
- Fabrication experience
- Lathe and mill experience desirable
- Forklift licence or willingness to obtain one
- Working at heights and Confined space trained
- Be forward thinking and able to work autonomously
- Team player with strong safety focus
- Critical thinking and planning
- An ability to consistently achieve results and deliver on promises
- Computer literate
What will you be doing?
- Preventative maintenance of beverage plant equipment
- Breakdown maintenance
- Preventive maintenance
- Fabrication and repair of new and old parts
- Machining of new parts and repair of old parts
- Reporting of all works using the CMMS (Maximo)
- Attend training on site and of site as required
- Attend prestart meeting daily
- Training of apprentices as required
- Compiling to all site GMP, safety, and environmental standards
