About your new role…
Due to our continued growth and evolution in our Security function, we have a fabulous opportunity to join our team in the role of State Security Manager (SSM). This role manages the entire state’s physical security operations, including the state security budget, taking the lead in emergency management and investigation activities within the Corporate Security remit. You will lead a team of 30+ outsourced security labour in partnership with the contract manager, lead security-related continuous improvement projects, and provide expert security advice to stakeholders on asset protection, security risk and other security related matters to deliver an efficient, effective, and compliant security service offering to protect the state's CCEP assets. This role may entail some domestic travel to support other sites, however, this is very limited.
What will you be doing?
- Oversee state security operations, incident response, emergency management, and lead investigations with support from the National Investigations Manager.
- Manage security budgets and implement cost-saving initiatives aligned with national objectives.
- Oversee third-party security contractors, ensuring robust outsourced management and timely contract reviews.
- Support national security strategy, roadmap implementation, and embed the CCEP Security framework.
- Conduct security risk assessments and site audits.
- Build and lead a high-performing security team.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and deliver security awareness training.
- Streamline information management and communication processes.
- Review and audit security systems, policies, and procedures to mitigate risks with SME support.
- Deliver continuous improvement projects aligned with corporate strategy.
- Develop and maintain site-level Business Continuity Plans aligned nationally.
- Act as after-hours contact for security matters when nominated.
- Assist in managing other state operations as required.
Lets talk about you …
- Bachelor’s degree or Certificate IV in Security Management, Risk, Investigations, or related discipline (or working towards).
- Current Security Licence (or eligible), Driver’s Licence, and First Aid certificate.
- Extensive security management experience across private sector, government, or law enforcement, including multi-site operations.
- Strong knowledge of security and asset protection standards with proven application in large organisations.
- Technical proficiency in security systems and emerging technologies.
- Skilled in budget management and cost optimisation.
- Expertise in problem-solving, change management, stakeholder engagement, and communication.
- Proven ability in contractor management and client account oversight.
- Track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- Proficient in Office 365, online payment systems (e.g., Ariba/SAP), and adaptable to security and logistics software.
- Experience in FMCG or similar environments with strong understanding of facility security and fraud risks.
- Understanding of Fraud Risk Management and Investigations.
- Experience in risk assessment and mitigation planning.
