What you become part of
Wakefield Operations is the largest plant in CCEP and the biggest soft drink plant in Europe which produces about a third of GB’s volume across their 9 manufacturing, and 2 preform lines. The site can produce 680,000 cans per hour and 132,000 bottles per hour. With over 550 employees across Manufacturing, QESH and Engineering, experience here can lead to excellent career opportunities both in Wakefield and further afield across other GB sites and Pan-European locations.
What to expect
The Reliability Engineer is a pivotal Site role and in partnership with your Asset Care Planner (ACP) you need to analyse and improve the equipment performance. Working in close partnership with the Production Manager it is graded as a Band 100 (professional banding) to reflect the level of responsibility, flexibility of hours and approach, plus the commitment required to deliver a demanding role in a Factory that operates 24/7.
Key to the role are a number of core elements which you will be expected to master :-
- The site currently operates its maintenance on 6 year life plans with modular and major overhauls. Your role with the ACP is the planning, scheduling and execution of these plans to ensure that line start up after overhaul, hits its targets for quality, safety and performance all within your budget (which you will have complete control of for your area).
- Reliability focuses on maintenance effectiveness and you will be expected to move the maintenance plans away from a check and inspect mentality to that of a measure and compare to a standard. To do this you will be expected to be able to organise maintenance improvement sessions using failure data, OEM’s and line teams to help design the best possible maintenance for your assets in order of criticality and using best practice reliability tools and techniques
- Act as a Safety role model and ensure all Quality, Environment, Health and Safety standards are fulfilled by CCEP and contractors
- Manage the annual Maintenance & Repair budget.
- Lead coach and develop RCA’s. Measure the effectiveness of the countermeasures to ensure no re-occurrence.
- Support the Engineering function on the development of investment projects and new initiatives.
- Lead, develop and coach the Technicians to ensure they maximise their individual and team performance.
- Manage the spare parts warehouse in an efficient way (high rotation, right safety stocks, handle write-offs, search of cheaper and reliable spares, etc)
- Support the PM with analysis of performances losses and asset care KPI’s.
Skills & Essentials
- Understand the difference between reliability and maintenance
- Can demonstrate the implementation of reliability tools and techniques
- Can demonstrate effective planning and organisational skills required for major and minor overhauls
- NVQ Level 3 Mechanical/Electrical qualifications or equivalent.
Desirable
- Practical machinery maintenance within food processing environments with volatile demand
- Design asset care strategies
- Fluid with SAP PM and line information systems
