World Menopause Day is held every year on the 18th of October – and we’re committed to making sure it’s never overlooked at CCEP.

That’s why we recently shared a Live Q&A discussion on Understanding & Raising Awareness of Menopause, hosted online by our Gender & GB Menopause Catalyst Group Lead, Lisa Hughes.

She was joined by an expert guest panel, including Dr. Nighat Arif and Dr Philippa Kaye, as seen on television’s This Morning; Lesley Salem, Founder of Over the Bloody Moon; and Julie Dennis, The Menopause Coach.

Together, they introduced an audience of both women and men to ways of making sure support and information is available. They also engaged in some interesting and important myth-busting on what the menopausal process actually is, as well as the medical, physical and psychological impacts.

The event was shared on our internal app, Redline. The panel answered questions on everything from how to manage symptoms and how best to support employees, colleagues or a partner going through menopause, to the cultural differences impacting our treatment and understanding of it.

Overwhelmingly positive responses keep coming from everyone who took part and tuned in:

“What an event! An incredible panel of women, experts in their field, sharing so much sight on menopause and helping us raise awareness and create education on a very important topic here at CCEP.” – Rizwana A, Senior Human Resources Business Partner

“So, so lucky to be able to learn about something so important in my place of work. When I tell my friends and family the kind of content we get to engage with, they are always blown away. An incredible panel hosted by Lisa and Riz, and one that I took so much from to support the ladies in my life.” – Jack Cummings
