About your new role…

We have a fabulous opportunity to join our Safety team as their Senior Safety Manager Manufacturing. Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, your role is to lead the deployment and governance of Safety & Health strategies, plans, projects and systems across Manufacturing Operations to ensure our people go home to what they love.

What will you be doing?

  • Contribute to the development of the Australian Health & Safety strategy, aligned to the business strategy and strategic business priorities.
  • Design and implement initiatives to drive continuous improvement and achieve QESH strategic priorities.
  • Lead the implementation of the Health & Safety frameworks, tools, processes and reporting to ensure effective system implementation, change management and governance
  • Partner across CCEP stakeholders to plan for, respond to and solve critical safety issues and incidents as they occur.
  • Build, develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships across CCEP teams, anticipating stakeholder needs upstream and downstream, providing effective communication, insight and proactive escalation on issues or incidents.
  • Lead, mentor and coach the wider safety team to create an environment where our people can thrive and build the expertise of the team.
  • Work with operations leadership teams to align resources to ensure key safety projects are supported and delivered within agreed budget, quality and other objectives.
  • Establish structured routines and rhythms to monitor and report on Health & Safety programs and initiatives progress.
  • Lead problem solving through methodologies including Learning Teams, Human & Organisational Performance and Root Cause Analysis to drive a learn and improve mindset and safety excellence
  • Seek out industry best practice within areas of expertise to help raise capability within the team and leverage new thinking into the Health & Safety programs of work in partnership with the Head of Health & Safety.
  • Anticipate and respond to key market / environmental / regulatory developments, trends, opportunities or threats, and develop collaborative action plans to proactively improve the safety & wellbeing of our people

Key contact to TCCC and Other Business Partners

  • Build close working relationships with the CCEP Central QESH team, TCCC technical team and the Australian enterprise to drive full alignment between strategic priorities and objectives.
  • Builds a network of external partners/experts (industry/material associations, suppliers, material experts etc.) in order to represent the Company.

Let’s talk about you!

  • Minimum 5 years technical experience in a similar role. (FMCG experience desirable)
  • Strong working knowledge of Safety Legislation and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO45001 Safety Management Systems.
  • Experience managing critical risks including machinery, hazardous energy, contractor management.
  • Leadership experience of technical teams
  • Working knowledge of Workplace Safety programs, Human Factors/Human & Organisational Performance and legal requirements.
  • TCCC system knowledge desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to influence others.
  • High degree of computer literacy
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic with an ability to be flexible and responsive and meet deadlines.
