The Grinders Supply Chain Team is based in our Roastery in Fairfield, Victoria. Supply Chain compromises an array of function under its banner and the reach extends from procurement of both green beans & finished products to customer deliveries.
About your new role…
We have a wonderful opportunity to join our Grinders team in this role of Inventory Controller which will be based at our Roastery in Fairfield, Victoria. You will play a critical part in executing seamless supply to our customers through overseeing and managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and optimising stock turnover to meet demand while minimising cost and waste. You will also get to coordinatate with various departments to maintain efficient supply chain operations and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Track and manage all Finished goods, packaging, and raw materials for Grinders coffee within the Fairfield Roastery and across the National Distribution network
- Ensure inventory systems are maintained and accurately reflect physical inventory
- Communicate any supply risks (out of stocks and excess stock situations)
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuous supply
- Coordinate and manage inbound orders from local and international suppliers, for raw coffee, packaging and bought-in finished goods.
- Monitor & review finished goods & raw material shelf life nationally.
- Frequent review of network inventory position & system alerts. Identifying any supply issues.
- Actively involved in quarterly SOX stock take process and reconciliation.
- Support SKU portfolio activities, promotions & NPD launches.
- Assist in the finished goods & packaging run out process.
Let’s talk about you!
- 3-5 years previous experience managing inventory, preferably within an FMCG environment.
- Able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace.
- Understanding of material requirements planning (MRP) and enterprise resource planning (ERP).
- Ability to problem solving with a high attention to detail.
- Business Systems Aptitude – Planning (SAP APO), SAP ECC).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
