The role:

Control Automation and Instrumentation engineer are responsible for installing, managing and maintaining equipment which is used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery and processes to ensure high efficiency, reliability, and safety. This position is responsible for programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing control systems, including PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and industrial networks. CA&I works closely with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime, enhance system performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives. this role drives automation projects, ensures compliance with industry standards, and contributes to the plant’s digitalization and innovation efforts.

Our desired candidate:

A well-presented, highly personable, and efficient candidate who can work independently in a challenging environment. The ideal candidate must meet the following minimum requirements: 

  • Bachelor of Engineering graduate (Electronics and Instrumentation) or BS Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
  • Experience 4-5 years of experience of which 2 years in a senior position and in beverages industry, preferred with TPM experience.
  • Computer literate (MS word, Excel, Power point, M/S project, other related software)
  • Strong leadership personality, team playing and ability to encourage people to achieve tasks
  • Well organized with good communication skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Proven supervisory experience and management potential.
  • Excellent English. Good planning skills.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of CCEP PNG’s core business and business process.
  • Strong communication skills and an awareness of operating in a multicultural, multinational work environment.
  • Organizational Awareness.
  • Problem Solving, Analytical Thinking.
  • Self-Initiative.
  • Technical hands-on experience.
  • Capable to use assembly drawings, P&ID’s and manuals to tune equipment for operation.
  • Capable to use electrical Hardware & logic PLC principles to solve equipment problems.
  • Organized with a high ability to multitask and manage workloads.
  • Targets & results driven.
  • Pro-active with a win-win attitude.
