Senior Analyst Controls & TWC

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager Controls and Trade Working Capital, the Senior Analyst is responsible for supporting the delivery of planning and analysis activities for Trade Working Capital and Cashflow and preparation of local government compliance requirements for Australia, specifically customs, excise and PTR.

In addition to these key responsibilities, this role will support the financial analysis and review across a variety of financial business performance items for Australia, while partnering with the Senior Manager Controls and Trade Working Capital to deliver Finance work that will aim to improve the Trade Working Capital, Cashflow and Balance Sheet results for the Australian business.


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Preparation of TWC monthly performance management reporting including latest outlook across Australia, Neverfail, PSD and Statewide businesses. 
  • Prepare routine forecasts and conduct financial analysis activities for TWC, monitor performance and movements across key elements and provide routine analysis of working capital position including preparation of annual TWC budget 
  • Support ad-hoc reporting, financial analysis and business initiatives as required for TWC and Cashflow and participate in projects to improve operational processes to enable more effective ways of working; this includes testing and design support for TWC implementation in Anaplan 
  • Participate in stakeholder forums and support the Australian business to deliver projects that sustainably improve Trade Working Capital, Cashflow and Balance Sheet outcomes. 
  • Provide analysis and insights support across a variety of financial business performance items for Australia 
  • Participate in the annual business planning process for Australia, support with central assumptions preparation, budget and forecast support on key balance sheet accounts and analysis 
  • Preparation and lodgement of weekly Customs and Excise returns in adherence with agreed timelines 
  • Lead the preparation and consolidation of Payment Times Reporting schedules and adhoc analysis to identify insights and recommendations for optimising PTR performance metrics 
  • Prepare 4 week cash forecast used by Corporate Treasury in making cash management decisions

LET’S TALK ABOUT YOU!

  • Minimum of 3-5 years financial reporting and analysis experience, ideally in an FMCG environment,•    • University degree in Finance, Accounting or Commerce 
  • Proficient in SAP, PowerPoint, MS Excel, and Word as well as good understanding of Finance ERP Systems 
  • Knowledge of Account Payable and Accounts Receivable processes and systems preferred 
  • Strong analytical, insights and modelling skills, with ability to provide recommendations 
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting activities 
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
