Placement programme
I joined CCEP’s Workplace and Employee Relations team as a year-long intern. I was attracted to the role because it offered me the opportunity to explore an area of People & Culture that I had particularly enjoyed during my Business Management and Human Resources degree. It also gave me the chance to apply my university learning within a large, global organisation.
Throughout my internship, I have worked with a wide range of stakeholders from different teams and countries. This has helped me build new skills and develop a deeper understanding of human rights, policy management and employee relations in a global business.
Workplace and Employee Relations Intern

Throughout my internship, I have worked with a wide range of stakeholders from different teams and countries. This has helped me build new skills and develop a deeper understanding of human rights, policy management and employee relations in a global business.
One of my major projects has been supporting the update of CCEP’s human rights training. This has involved working with stakeholders to ensure the training meets global requirements, while also developing my understanding of what human rights mean in the workplace. I have also supported policy management activities, which have helped me learn about the processes involved in creating, maintaining and retiring policies across an organisation. Being involved in a variety of projects has also shown me the importance of detailed planning, collaboration and engaging the right stakeholders to successfully deliver a project.
The variety of the internship has been particularly valuable for my development. I have been trusted to take ownership of tasks that directly contribute to projects, including conducting competitor research and creating presentations to share my findings with stakeholders. As my internship has progressed, I have been given greater responsibility, allowing me to continue developing my confidence, knowledge and professional skills.
One achievement I am particularly proud of is supporting the update of CCEP’s external human rights webpage. I used insights from my competitor research to create a mock-up of how the webpage could look and worked with relevant internal teams and external stakeholders to help bring the idea to life. It was rewarding to see how my research and ideas could contribute to a meaningful piece of work.
I would definitely recommend an internship at CCEP to anyone at the beginning of their career. The experience has given me valuable knowledge, practical skills and opportunities to work with people across a global organisation. It has supported both my professional and personal development and has given me a clearer understanding of the direction I would like my career to take.
Summer interns

Frequently asked questions
A summer internship typically lasts around 8 weeks, and a placement is between 9 and 12 months.
The application process involves three or four stages – firstly you apply online at the CCEP careers site for the vacancy, you are then sent a link to an online gamification assessment. If you are successful at that stage, you are then invited to either a video or telephone interview. The final stage of the process is an assessment centre.
We are looking for ambitious students with effective communication skills, a ‘can-do’ attitude, the desire to learn and ability to work well with others.
The programme will consist of either 3 or 4 rotations, this will be dependent on the programme that you join. The rotations will provide an opportunity to experience and gain insight into the functions areas of the programme and is likely to have a project assigned as part of this programme.
