The Role
The Commercial Manager – Logistics & EQS is a senior value‑adding business partner to the Logistics and EQS leadership teams, focused on driving productivity, improving cost‑to‑serve and elevating decision quality across the supply chain.
With transactional processing and standardised reporting delivered through shared services, this role is intentionally forward‑looking and insight‑led. The focus is on financial modelling, scenario analysis, operational insight and constructive challenge — translating complexity into clear commercial choices for leaders.
The role provides commercial leadership and decision support for key strategic and operational projects, ensuring robust financial evaluation, clear visibility of risks and trade‑offs, and alignment to value creation.
About You
- 3–5+ years minimum experience in a supply chain, logistics, manufacturing or operations‑facing commercial finance role.
- Proven experience as a commercial or finance business partner supporting operational leaders.
- Strong track record in financial modelling, scenario analysis and investment appraisal.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex operational data into clear commercial insights.
- Experience influencing and challenging senior stakeholders to improve decision quality.
- People leadership or coaching experience within a commercial or finance team.
Highly Desirable
- FMCG experience strongly preferred, particularly in logistics‑intensive or manufacturing environments.
- Experience operating in an environment with shared services or offshore delivery models.
- Exposure to network optimisation, capacity planning or cost‑to‑serve modelling.
- Experience driving productivity, efficiency or continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Commerce (required).
- CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification (highly desirable).
- Advanced financial modelling capability; exposure to SAP or equivalent ERP systems advantageous.
