Your new opportunity…

We have a fabulous opportunity for a strategic planner to join our team in this role of National Make Optimisation Planner. You will be responsible for optimising the national manufacturing plan to deliver service, cost, and efficiency outcomes. This is a pivotal role that sits at the intersection of demand, supply, and manufacturing execution, ensuring production capacity is optimally utilised while balancing inventory, labour, and operational constraints across the network.

This role drives data-led decision making, continuous improvement, and cross-functional alignment to support strategic and operational objectives.

This role is situated at our bustling Northmead Office with free parking, onsite café, and offers the lovely flexibility of working hybrid between office and home.

What will you be doing?

Make Plan Optimisation

  • Develop, maintain, and optimise the national make plan across all manufacturing sites
  • Balance demand requirements, capacity constraints, and inventory targets
  • Optimise sequencing, changeovers, line loading, and product mix to improve efficiency
  • Identify and resolve capacity gaps and bottlenecks across the network

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Manufacturing, and Logistics teams
  • Support S&OP cycles with make plan insights, scenarios, and recommendations

Performance & Analysis

  • Analyse production performance, capacity utilisation, and plan adherence
  • Develop scenarios to support decision making (e.g. volume changes, site strategy, disruptions)
  • Track and report against key KPIs including service, cost, efficiency, and inventory
  • Translate data into clear insights and recommendations for stakeholders

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and lead optimisation initiatives to improve network efficiency and flexibility
  • Support standardisation of planning processes, tools, and ways of working
  • Contribute to system enhancements and planning capability uplift
  • Champion best practice planning methodologies across the business

Risk & Issue Management

  • Proactively identify supply and capacity risks
  • Develop mitigation plans to protect service and minimise cost impact
  • Support issue resolution during disruptions or demand volatility

Let’s talk about you!

  • Strong experience in manufacturing, supply, or production planning (FMCG preferred).
  • Strong understanding of capacity planning, inventory optimisation, and network design
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Proven ability to optimise complex, constrained production environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Experience with planning systems (e.g. APO, SAP)
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
