Role Purpose

We're looking for a commercially minded Category Performance & Insights Analyst.  This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves uncovering the story behind the numbers and translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive category growth.

You'll help shape category decisions, support major customer conversations, influence innovation strategy and identifying opportunities to accelerate performance across our portfolio.


You'll work with senior stakeholders across Category, Commercial, Sales and Brand teams, gaining exposure to strategic business decisions while developing your expertise in category leadership and insight-driven growth.

This is a permanent full-time role based in our North Sydney head office.


What You'll Be Doing


As the trusted source of category performance insights, you'll:

  • Own reporting and performance tracking across category, brand, portfolio and innovation initiatives
  • Analyse internal and external market data to identify trends, risks and growth opportunities
  • Transform data into clear recommendations that influence business decisions
  • Support the development of category strategies, playbooks and customer-facing narratives
  • Provide insights that strengthen range reviews, Joint Business Plans and customer selling stories
  • Track innovation performance and support Post Launch Reviews to capture learnings and optimise future launches
  • Support range, space and RSVPO analysis to identify opportunities for growth and execution excellence
  • Partner closely with Category, Sales, Brand, Portfolio and Revenue Growth Management teams to ensure a consistent view of performance across the business
  • Develop compelling storytelling that helps stakeholders understand not just what happened, but what to do next

  • Internal: Senior Manager, Playbooks & Performance, Senior Manager Category Strategy, Portfolio Analyst, Market & Projections Analyst, Customer Category, R&MGM and Brand Partner Leads. 
  • External: Coca-Cola South Pacific, Monster Energy Company, Customers

About You


You'll thrive in this role if you're naturally curious, commercially savvy and passionate about using data to influence outcomes.


You'll bring:

  • Experience in category management, insights, analytics or commercial environments
  • Strong analytical capability and experience working with large and complex data sets
  • Some experience using shopper, consumer, sales and market data to generate meaningful business insights
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience building reports, dashboards or performance tracking tools
  • Commercial acumen and understanding of category performance drivers
  • The ability to simplify complexity and communicate insights clearly to different audiences
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar business intelligence platforms (desirable)
