We have an opportunity for a Facility Manager, based in New Zealand to join our team on Secondment (until end of July 2027) to ensure our sites are set up to grow as we do, so we can continue to create magic across New Zealand.
Your Impact
Reporting to the Property & Development Manager (based in Australia), you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of Facilities Management services across our New Zealand sites.
Working closely with site leaders, service providers and key stakeholders, you'll ensure our facilities are safe, compliant, well maintained and operating efficiently while delivering a consistent, high-quality experience across our network.
As Facilities Manager, your role covers:
- Facilities Operations & Service Delivery
You'll work closely with our Facilities Management Service Provider to ensure our sites are safe, compliant, well maintained and operating efficiently. From day-to-day facilities services and maintenance through to contractor management and governance, you'll help drive strong performance, accountability and continuous improvement. You will work in close collaboration with the Property Manager with regards to landlord-related facilities, maintenance and compliance activities for leased sites. - Compliance, Safety & Risk Management
You'll support a strong safety culture by ensuring contractors operate safely and effectively, managing permit-to-work processes, maintenance activities, compliance requirements and risk management across our New Zealand network. - Performance & Continuous Improvement
You'll manage facilities budgets, monitor costs and identify opportunities to improve service delivery and operational efficiency. You'll also support site improvement initiatives that enhance safety, compliance and employee experience.
This role is highly collaborative, and you’ll work with a range of great people across our business, such as our Pacific Leadership Team, Legal & Insurance, Procurement, Finance, Group Construction Manager and warehouse managers just to name a few.
The primary work location is The Oasis, 19 Carbine Road, Auckland, with travel across NZ.
About You
You’re a collaborative and results-focused professional who can manage competing priorities and build strong stakeholder relationships. Experience managing facilities services, contractors or service providers, along with budget, compliance and performance management, will help you succeed in this role.
You'll also bring:
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience overseeing contractor management and permit-to-work processes
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and cost-control capability
- The ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining a calm and structured approach
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications and relevant systems
- A valid NZ Driver's Licence and the right to work in New Zealand.
